I thought I'd let you all know about 2 big badminton tournaments coming up in the next couple of months. If you are able to, I highly recommend going along and checking them out. The atmosphere at the tournaments (particularly the YAE) is fantastic and it's a lot of fun. By watching the pros you will hopefully be able to pick out some of the technique and tactics that we cover in our coaching sessions and maybe pick up a few new tricks!

English National Badminton Championships 2014

English National Championships

Next week all the best English players will be competing in this tournament, hoping to be crowned the best player(s) in the country. This is the first year that the tournament will be played at "the arena : stadium mk" in Milton Keynes. Spectators are welcome from the quarter finals onwards (Saturday 8th Feb & Sunday 9th Feb). This tournament provides a great chance to check out the next generation of English players as well as catching our current top players.

Check out for information about the tournament and to buy tickets.

Yonex All England Championships 2014

One of the oldest and most prestigious badminton tournaments in the world. Each year the world's best players battle it out at the NIA in Birmingham. Spectators are welcome all the way from the qualifying rounds through to the finals (Tuesday 4th March - Sunday 9th March). There's always plenty going on both on and off court (autographs, photos, smash challenge, competitions, Yonex shop) so it's a great day out.
